DQ AWARDS AND TROPHIES INFORMATION AND APPLICATIONS

To find out if you are eligible for an award or a trophy, click onto the criteria below.  Finalists for each section will be invited to attend the DQ Awards Christmas Evening to collect their finalist certificate and find out who the winner and runner up will be.

Dressage Qld Awards Criteria

Please note - Only scores from "Competitive" Competitions will be considered when determining awards. "Participant" scores will not be considered.

The nominated awards listed in the table below require you to complete and submit a Statutory Declaration/Application. All other awards detailed in the selection criteria are determined by Dressage Qld as per the individual award criteria.

Dressage Qld Awards Nomination

PLEASE NOTE: These awards are self nominating and all nominations MUST be recieved by October 31 in the award year. Late submissions will not be accepted. 

 

NOMINATED AWARD:

Crisp Emerging FEI Rider

This award is designed to recognise a Qld rider competing at FEI level for the first time in the award year.

Pat Dale Memorial Trophy

This award is designed to recognise a Qld rider competing at official elementary for the first time in the award year.

Sommerlyne Lisa Newcomer Pony of the Year

This award is for ponies commencing their first year of official competition.

Spin Memorial Newcomer Horse of the Year

This award is for horses commencing their first year of official competition.

The Diarmin Park Newcomer Young Rider of the Year

This award is to encourage young riders to compete in official dressage competitions.

The Lung Family Newcomer Rider of the Year

This award is to encourage senior riders to compete in official dressage competitions.

Vince Corvi Tribute Award

This award celebrates the significant contribution of an individual to the sport of dressage over a number of years.

 

Dressage Qld Rider Medals

As part of our mission to increase value to members, Dressage QLD introduces this program to recognise achievement in dressage, providing goals and rewarding riders at every level of competition.
The Rider Medals are awarded based on attaining the required scores at the necessary levels. A rider may achieve multiple badges, at multiple levels.
These Medals are stylish badges in bronze, silver, gold titanium and platinum. They can be displayed on the lapel of riding coats and tails for competition. A certificate is also available on request.
Award accumulation is from 1 November to 31 October in the award year.The cut off percentage scores for each medal level will be reviewed at the end of each competition year.

 Masters Challenge Award (Certificate and Badge)

For riders who attain 62%, 3 times at any level, from the year they turn 55th. These scores must be obtained from 1 November to 31 October in an award year.

  • All rides must be completed and reported to DQ by 31 October of the award year.
  • Certificates are issued upon verification by DQ, and presented at the DQ Awards Night.

The following awards aren't self nominating.  They do however form part of Dressage Qld Awards and Trophy Criteria, and, we thought you might like to read about the wonderful people who inspired them.
