2024 Australian Vaulting Championships Wrap

 

 

The 2024 Australian Vaulting Championships were held at Boonah on 27-29 September 2024.  The event, sponsored by Equestrian Queensland & Vaulting Queensland, was attended by over 60 athletes who travelled from as far as Western Australia.

The three days of competition were hotly contested, and vaulters competed in horse and barrel events as individuals, pas de deux (pairs) and Squads. The horses had their opportunity to develop and shine in the lunger and horse development classes.

The competition was supported by esteemed National and International judges: Monika Eriksson, Abbie White, Nicole De Villiers, Angie Deeks, Juan Manuel Cardaci and Anna Betts who evaluated every competitor in every class.

Prizes, from first to sixth, were awarded to vaulters, lungers and horses for classes completed at the end of each day. You can find results here 

Along with the individual class awards, there was two overall awards for the highest scoring vaulters and horses at the 2024 Australian Vaulting National Championships.

EAVC Vaulter Awards

Awarded to the vaulter with the highest score across at least three competitions through the year

  • Intermediate: Ivy Sykes
  • Advanced: Eliza Wark-chapman
  • Open: Ginger Kennett

EAVC Horse Awards

Awarded to the horse with the highest score in a class at Nationals

  • Walk horse: Le Grand Eli
  • Canter/Walk horse: Edelweiss Pierre
  • Canter horse: Kymlin Park Troy
