In his final address as Chair of EQ, David Finch reflected on the achievements of EQ and its members over the 13 past years while he has served the sport as a volunteer and Director of EQ.  In his address, Mr Finch recognised the achievements of all EQ members including those at the highest levels of the sport and grassroots members participating at affiliated club activities.

Mr Finch encouraged all junior members to not only aspire to excel and succeed, but to also remember the importance of contributing something of value to society and the sport.  Mr Finch also acknowledged and thanked all EQ officials, coaches, volunteers, staff and the EQ Board for their service to the sport and thanked outgoing EQ Director Susan Austin for her significant contribution and commitment to EQ over the past six years as a Director of EQ.

‘My goal when I joined the EQ Board 13 years ago was to leave the sport in a better position than when I started...it’s been a long time, however I am confident to say EQ is well positioned financially and sustainably for the future as an organisation that upholds its values and puts its members’ interests first’ said Mr Finch.
