Equestrian Queensland COVID-19 Update - Friday 14 January 2022
The Queensland Government has recently provided an update on the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and requirements for the sport and recreation industry. A copy of the advice is available HERE .
In summary, Equestrian Queensland provides the following advice to assist members and affiliates in regards to the current COVID-19 restrictions that apply to the sport and recreation industry:

Both vaccinated and unvaccinated people can still participate in many sport, active recreation, and fitness activities including indoor and outdoor events - state-wide.

It is a condition of entry for sport and recreation events and activities that attendees do not have any COVID like symptoms. The message continues to be if you are sick stay home.

If a person has COVID-19, they are required to isolate for 7 days from the date of test and until they are clear of any COVID-19 symptoms.

It is condition of entry that attendees at sport and recreation events and activities are not a close contact of a confirmed case within the past 7 days.

A person is considered a close contact if they are a household member or a household-like contact of a diagnosed person. A person who is a close contact must get tested for COVID-19 and isolate for 7 days.

Face masks are required when indoors at sport and recreation events and activities unless an exemption applies (i.e. medical reason, under the age of 12 etc).

A person is not required to wear a face mask outdoors unless they cannot maintain 1.5m physical distance from other people.

All attendees at sport and recreation events are required to check in at the venue upon arrival using the QLD Government – Check In App.
