Sports Facility Management- free workshop
Sports clubs are the custodians of valuable community infrastructure and have a responsibility to ensure that it is maintained in the best possible condition, to provide the greatest benefit to their members and the broader community. Ongoing management of new, existing, improved or expanded sporting facilities is an constant challenge for clubs, sometimes limited volunteer support, as they face greater community expectations and rising costs.
This workshop will provide information, tools and case studies to help you better understand the range of issues surrounding the maintenance and management of your facilities, including playing surfaces, clubhouses, amenities, lighting, storage, fencing, spectator facilities, and plant and equipment. The workshop will also address the ongoing facility sustainability focusing on budgeting, financial planning and sinking funds, land tenure relationships (leases, licenses and permits), roles and responsibilities, asset inventories, maintenance schedules, risk management, disaster recovery, insurance, and the efficient use of resources.
