USQ Hendra Virus Research Study
The aim of the research, conducted by the University of Southern Queensland, is to identify how people responsible for horse care undertake preventative measures against the Hendra Virus.
With the recent problems with horses reacting to the Hendra Virus vaccine, the research asks horse property owners how they reduce Hendra Virus risk, and which factors hinder their efforts to do so.
An understanding of how each of how different types of horse carers perceive Hendra Virus risk and how they are motivated to implement property management procedures may lead to a better set of recommendations. The results of the research may identify what strategies and communications need to be developed to communicate effective ways to reduce Hendra Virus risk.
Each completed survey allows the participant to enter a draw for one of three $200 gift vouchers form Horseland.
The Survey cloases 28 February 2016
