WILD CARD WINNERS

Today, three talented riders received a phone call from QI3DE to confirm they had won a FREE entry to this year's Qld International 3 Day Event (QI3DE) 28-31 August, Morgan Park Warwick.

The announcement follows a final review by mystery QI3DE judges of all the nominations gathered from several Wild Card qualifying events this year.

"It was the highlight of my day hearing their responses," laughed QI3DE chairman Dr Cameron Osborne.

He said that the riders had been selected on merit and that the new Wild Card initiative has been extremely well received.

"The judges believe the three combinations selected have, during the year, shown commitment to the sport of Eventing and have striven to continue to improve their performances.

All combinations nominated during the Wild Card initiative are deserving of congratulations on their determination to improve their skills," he said.

The winners are:-

EvA 80        -  Madison Hose / APH Swashbuckler

EvA 95        -  Samara Pappin/ Warrego Whiskey

EvA 105      -  Justine Sreeter / Warrego Marco Polo

Each winner will be provided with a free entry for their combination to the class in which they were selected.

"Congratulations to the winners and to all the Qld eventers who strove for excellence during the competition. Keep it up and Qld will soon be at the top of the tree!"

The Wild Card initiative is just one of the many new and exciting additions to this years event, in place by a dedicated and hard working committee. The State of Origin is on again with $4000 up for grabs and a Puissance showjump competition on Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm. $25 entry fee and $1000 to win. Not a bad little earner!

Also on the list is the Riders Lounge screening WEG on the big screen, local Granite Belt beer on tap, Jester Hill Wine and Ballandean Estate Wine and cheese picnic hampers, art exhibition, complimentary make up or skin analysis for riders and an Athletes Cafe serving fresh daily hot and cold food from 6.30am til late, so no need to cook - Join Us!
