Announcing the 2015 QLD Winners of the EA Club Development Grants

 

Queensland clubs, Warwick & District Carriage Driving Club Inc. and Warrego Equestrian Inc. have been announced as recipients of an Equestrian Australia (EA) Club Development Grant.

The QLD clubs are among the 15 clubs from around Australia to receive an EA grant.

Clubs were invited to apply for a share of $30,000 in funding which could be put towards facilities upgrades, purchasing of new equipment or membership and volunteer recruitment programs.

The initiative attracted a strong response from clubs with EA receiving 144 applications for funding assistance.

The Warwick & District Carriage Driving Club Inc. received $2,000 which it will put towards Electronic Timing Equipment to allow the club to comply with FEI requirements for official events.

The Warrego Equestrian Inc. received $3,000 which it will put towards a Portable Dressage Arena and set of 12 letters to hold practice and competition days for members. 

 Equestrian Queensland Operations Manager, Samantha Duffy, congratulated the successful clubs.

 “There are over seventy clubs throughout Queensland who all provide important services to members and participants of equestrian sport at a community level and additional support through the EA Club development grants all helps”.

 EQ together with EA assessed each of the QLD applications on how they engage and work with their current membership base, their participation in EA activities and their track record of encouraging participation in club events.
