Equestrian Queensland (EQ) has this morning been made aware of an agenda item noted for the FEI General Assembly 2019 which is being held in Moscow on 16-19 November 2019.

Item 27.1 of the FEI General Assembly 2019 – Agendas and Annexes – Veterinary Matters, Technical Committee Report makes specific mention of Hendra Virus.

EQ advises, that it had no knowledge of the agenda item and received no notification about the agenda item published.  

EQ is currently engaging with both Equestrian Australia and the FEI in relation to this topic and wishes to reassure our members that EQ’s position on biosecurity as it relates to Hendra, has not changed.
