Helmet Tagging for Jumping mandatory from 1 January 2022

Helmet Tagging will be mandatory for all EA Affiliated Jumping events from 1 January 2022.

Please note: Helmet tagging indicates that your helmet meets current EA standards but does not indicate that the helmet has not been damaged or is unsafe.

Helmet Tagging Times and Days

Equestrian Queensland invites all EQ affiliated clubs / sport committees / show societies to express their interest in being involved in the roll out of helmet tagging across Queensland. EQ is seeking volunteer helmet taggers to register now to assist all riders and affiliates conducting jumping and interschool events to be compliant with the new EA helmet tagging rule as of 1 January 2022.

The process of helmet tagging is very simple, inspect the compliance number and/or symbol on the helmet and if it meets the helmet standard required placing a yellow helmet tag on the near side front helmet strap. An online induction/training will be conducted by EQ for all Helmet Taggers.
