Vale Brian Fitton

Equestrian Queensland is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Brian Fitton.

Brian was a highly valued and respected member of the equestrian community.

For six years from April 2003 – February 2010, Brian served as a member on the Equestrian Queensland Board, including 3 years as Chair. His involvement also extended to the Eventing Queensland Sport Committee as treasurer for many years. Brian’s impact was profoundly felt at the Fig Tree Pocket Equestrian Club where he was the event director of the 3DE in 1992, 1993, and 1994. 

Our sincerest condolences to Brian’s daughter, Sarah, wife Lesley and their families. He will be greatly missed but his legacy as a dedicated and selfless volunteer within the sport will remain.
