Eventing Queensland introduced the Development Group in 2018, the initiative provides riders with the resources and support network to improve and excel in the sport of eventing. Four clinics are held every year. These clinics consist of 3-4 lessons held over 2 days by EA Level 1 or above accredited coaches who are established 3*+ competitors. The clinics will also include talks from Veterinarians, Nutritionists, Physiotherapists, and Equestrian professionals. The clinics aim to make the sport more inclusive and supportive to riders and their families. Clinics are on a user pays basis. Entry for these clinics are via Nominate only.

Development Clinic Registrations Opening Soon
The following criteria applies for the Eventing QLD Development Clinics:
- Open to all horse/rider combinations with eventing experience at EvQ60 and above
- The minimum age to apply to join this squad is the year the rider turns 8, there is no maximum age limit We encourage participation from riders of all ages and levels of experience.
- This group is for the entirety of 2020.
- Cost of joining the group is $50 for calendar year (one registration fee per rider is payable regardless of the number of horses).
- 4 clinics will be held in 2020.
- Development Group members will be eligible to purchase Qld Development Group shirts and caps.
- Development Group riders will be on a user pays basis, with each clinic costing approximately $250 (this does not including camping, yarding & ancillary costs).
- Development Group riders may have access to additional education in the way of veterinary talks, goal setting, sports psychology, sports nutrition etc.
