2017 Aitkens Saddlery Future Star of the Year

The 2017 Aitkens Saddlery Future Star of the Year is....  Diamond B Corvina!

Following a strong start to the season with a win in Round 1 - the Qld Country 1.30m Titles back in March, Sam Overton added a further 6 points to his lead in the final round at the Qld Indoor Titles on the weekend.    The athletic and spirited Diamond B Corvina is an 8 year old mare sired by Conquistador and from the very successful Vivant mare Diamond B Vegas.  Corvina was bred by Diamond B Stud of Glossodia NSW and purchased by the Overton Family as a 5 year old. 

Runner Up for the series was the super quick and careful CP Ellibell (Elias C Van de Heffnick x Animate) owned by Tim Bowman and Sally Lyndon.  Ridden by Peter McMahon for a win in the last round, as Tim is injured.    Third place was the very classy Yirrkala Ebony (Escudo I x Hamlet) and Olivia Hamood.

Three exceptional Future Stars, all with very bright careers in front of them.
