Announcement - CEO Equestrian Queensland

Equestrian Queensland is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Matt Helmers as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Matt joins Equestrian Queensland (EQ) with extensive experience in the sporting industry, including five years as the CEO of a not-for-profit National Sporting Organisation during which time he elevated its Federal Government recognition to priority status and expanded national operations across multiple business units.

“I feel privileged to be joining a passionate and dedicated workforce within a prestigious sport and honoured to be representing the interests of a diversified membership" said Matt upon his appointment. 

“Equestrian Queensland’s Board look forward to working closely with Matt. He will bring valuable experience and a different perspective to our organisation.” said Mr Peter Toft, Chairman of EQ.

Equestrian Queensland welcomes Matt, who will commence his new role on Monday, 4 August, 2014.
