The Ewan and Des show is coming to town.
After a successful season in Melbourne, Ewan Kellett and Des Hughes are coming to Fig Tree Pocket, Queensland to run a Technical Delegate and Course Design Clinic on 26 and 27 November.
Ewan Kellett has been a frequent visitor to Queensland over the past couple of years, designing and building courses at Fig Tree Pocket, Warwick and Tamborine. Ewan will be back in Queensland in 2017 to add his expertise to the Cross Country courses at Fig Tree and Tamborine.
And who could forget our very own Des Hughes. Des has been a vital member of the Eventing Queensland Eventing scene for many years. Often referred to as Mr Eventing, Des has officiated at nearly every Eventing Club in Queensland, his knowledge of our sport is surpassed by none.
Ewan and Des are well respected Australia wide. Since 2006, Ewan Kellett’s name has been synonymous with the Melbourne International CCI Three Day Event, and played a vital role in the Sydney CCI course from 2009 to 2012, as well as other courses in Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, and New South Wales. Des has added his pizazz to Australia’s most prestigious events at Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne, just to name a few.
Both men are high demand on the international Eventing scene. Ewan has recently returned from designing and building cross country courses in Japan, which added to his international exposure at the 2008 Olympics Cross Country Course in Hong Kong. But who could forget the image of Des at last year’s European Championships in Scotland , where as Technical Delegate he donned the traditional Scottish attire lead the team of officials at the event.
