FTP Arena Project Open Day
Fig Tree Pocket held their arena project open day on Saturday with their many friends and members which was proudly funded by a Community Sports Club Grant from Brisbane City Council. Cr Julian Simmonds took time out from his busy schedule to officially open the arena as did Rebel Morrow.
A huge thanks to Rebel, an Athens Olympian and FTP member who gave the arena surface a very big thumbs up. Reb rode two beautiful chestnut mares, the Rink Families, Chooch aka Kirby Park Irish Empress and Meryn Coopers, Moo aka Little Miss wonder for a dressage and jumping demonstration with other members then trying out the new surface. Thank you to both the Rinks and Meryn for the generous loan of their 'girls'.
Mention must also be made of Robert Eagers who is responsible for their beautiful arena also our committee member Debbie Woodhead who worked with Robert and the small Arena 'team' to ensure the whole project ran smoothly and to time.
