2024 Australian Dressage Championships Queensland Success
The 2024 Australian Dressage Championships held from 17 – 20 October 2024 at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre, SIEC Horsley Park attracted the best from all over the country to compete in levels from Novice to Grand Prix including Freestyle to Music, Para and Pony Championships.
Many Queenslanders would have travelled approximately 930kms to the venue and this year there were enough competitors for the State Selectors to nominate two teams to represent Queensland -
FEI Team - 3rd Overall
- Ellyn Parker and My Rosalee - Grand Prix
- Mathew Lord and Remi Vigneron - Intermediate 1
- Alexis Hellyer and Fidibus - Prix St George
National Team - Reserve Champions Overall
- Mathew Lord and Denira - Advanced
- Danielle Keogh and Willowburn Furstin Bonne - Medium
- Harvey Beasley and Rodrigo - Elementary

There were so many fantastic results, here are just a few highlights -
- Bridgette Dalmau and BON JOVI MH won the FEI Under 25 Intermediate II, Under 25 Grand Prix, and Under 25 Grand Prix Freestyle before flying back to Queenland to complete her Year 12 exams this week.
- Emma Flavelle-Watts and SCARLATTI MIO VSR (pictured above) won the Intermediate B and the Intermediate A/B Freestyle.
- Kerri-lee Ryder and TMH BOGARTFEI won the Prix St Georges Pony and FEI Intermediate Pony.
- Kylie Chandler and BRAZZEN ROCK (pictured below) won the Australian Elementary Pony Championship.
- Brooke Neville and CHECKLIST D won the Grade IV Para Championship.
- Sandi-leigh Norris and FINCH FARM COSMIQUE CAVALL won the Grade V Para Championship.
- Harvey Besley and KEEP A SECRET won the Elementary 3.3 Open.
- Alexis Hellyer had great success with riding some very talented Young Horses and with DEL PIERO ZF in the FEI Grand Prix.
- Ellyn Parker and MY ROSALEE placed in the top 6 in both the FEI Intermediate II and FEI Grand Prix.
- Matthew Lord and the team of REMI STUD horses had great success and were on the podium numerous times!
